Mowing The Lawn

With the purchase of our home came the responsibility of doing the yard work. The back yard is in bad shape and we are going to have to tear it up and start from scratch so John has mowed and weed whacked down the weeds and when we have the money we will landscape it. The front yard needs a new sprinkler system put in and the planters need to be redone but for now we are leaving that be too until we have the money. John went out to mow the lawn last weekend and Addison said he wanted to help. Out he went and helped John push the lawn mower around the yard.

White Men Can't Dance, But the Bishopric Can

The last Church Stake Dance was our wards responsibility to host. We had a luau and it was a lot of fun. The Bishopric, YW's and YM's presidency all dressed in Hawaiian clothes for the event. The bishopric members none would dance and just sat or stood along the walls. Our YW's President who just happens to be the Bishop's wife talked to the DJ and they called the Bishopric up to the front and had them dance to a song about being "old, but still sexy and able to still shake it." then they did the limbo to the limbo rock song. Everyone crowded around and cheered them on.

Go Grizzlies!

We love the perks of having John work at a High School. We get into sporting events free! Great Family Activity that can cost nothing or very little when they get the excitement of going to the corner mini mart on the way to the game and pick out a candy bar to have.

How Eliza dresses herself

Eliza is VERY independent and wants to do most things and can do most things by herself. I lay out her clothes and she can normally get dressed by herself with the exception of buttons on the back of a shirt. Anyway she decided she didn't want to wear what I got out so she dressed herself. Addison's shirt backwards and Nicholas' pajamas pants make a great day outfit.

Good thing she loves clothes and was willing to change when we had to go out to the grocery store later. :-)!

Our Little "Drama Princess!"

Eliza is the princess of faces. Her latest thing is rolling her eyes or pulling this face

We get it for just about anything. This one was because she wanted to watch Dora and she was told she had to get dressed, brush her teeth and get her hair combed for the day before she could watch it.

We have Stairs

One of the things that the kids have been so excited about in our new house is that we now have stairs. We have an upstairs house, and a downstairs house. That is right two separate houses joined together by the stairs.

I have a Headache in my Mouth

Eliza is like many other kids. When she has an "owie" she wants a bandaid to make it better. We are not sure if she has a cavity or it is just the pressure of her back teeth coming in but she has been complaining of a "headache" in her mouth. The other morning she kept it up and then asked John for a bandaid. John asked her where her owie was and she told him her mouth had a headache. John told her several times that you cannot put a bandaid in your mouth and she got upset with him as if he just did not understand her. He finally just gave her the bandaid and when he turned around this is what she had going on.

She wore it like this for about a half hour. Long enough for the tylenol to kick in as she didnt complain about the headache in her mouth again until later that afternoon.

Eliza's Haircut

We have made our move and are starting to get settled some. Boxes are still everywhere but we are getting there and kids are starting to sleep better at night. Eliza and I went out for haircuts yesterday while the boys were all at school. She thought it was so great, that after we dropped off the boys today she asked if we were going to go get haircuts again.
