My Brothers Wedding in 2005

I know this is completely out of order, but I was looking through pictures and found these pictures from my brothers wedding in 2005. Aren't the boys soooo cute!

Chocolate Anyone???

I am not one for buying treats for lunches at school. The other day Addison's teacher asked for a donation of pudding cups. I decided why not and got an extra box for a special treat for my kids. I was packing lunches this morning and Nicholas wanted to know what it was, stupid me when I said pudding he wanted one right then. He was told no after lunch but asked all the way taking the boys to school and all the way home. I finally gave in when we got home and put him and Eliza up to the table. Eliza apparently likes chocolate pudding. But then who wouldn't like chocolate besides my brother!

Baby Kitten

About a year and a half ago the family that lived across the street became victims to the latest of house repo. When they left they left behind some kittens and one of them came over to our house and would climb our front window screen and sit on our pouch and cry. It would even sneek into the house when it could get in. After a week or so I talked to John and I told him it broke my heart as I knew that cat was hungry. We are not suppose to have cat/dogs in the house so we decided we would get some cat food and start feeding the cat. Well, the cat then got named by the kids and then was known as "Star". All though we do not more then feed her we know she is essentially our cat now. One day a few months ago we noticed she was putting on the pounds to which we knew that she must be having kittens. We then went three days about two months ago were we did not see her and she was not coming and eating her food. We did not know if she had run off or had been a victim of the road. On the fourth day she showed up skinny beyond skinny and looking for some food. We knew she had obviously had kittens but we did not know where (as we only see her in the morning when she ready to eat). We looked around our property and never found them. Yesterday morning when John opened the door she ran in like she always does but he said he saw a flash of something else run in under the couch. He went over and looked under to find a kitten. The kitten is very scared of us and will not come near us, but gladly takes the meal liker her mother. The kids have named him/her (we do not know what gender yet) "Scaredy Cat". And yes we will not take care of both and after pay day "Star" and "Scaredy Cat" if we can catch the kitten will go into the vet to have their shots and be fixed. They will have to continue to be outside cats but hopefully we will cut down on more cats!

Nicholas and Eliza Playdate

As most of you know my really good friend Rachel moved up North and my other friend who watched my kids last year went back to school full time this year. So, it left me looking for someone who was willing to do a trade so that I could volunteer in Vincent and Addison's classrooms. Another friend at church has a 9 month old so I asked her if she would be willing to trade baby sitting. She loved the idea as it gave her a morning to get errands done without a baby in tow. Nicholas and Eliza got backpacks and lunch boxes when we did back to school shopping so it worked out great. Their backpacks became their personal diaper bags and then they get a lunch in the lunch boxes for while they are at my friends house.

Studio Pictures

I took Eliza and Nicholas in to get their pictures done yesterday to Picture Me Studio. They have done a lot of changes and have gone digital, but the most exciting was you now for $90.00 can buy the rights to the pictures so they hand you a disk and a release and you can then go make as many copies as you would like. Last night I cropped and added different things to the pictures and printed them out and put them on the wall and John loved them. He asked for some for his classroom. This was a spectacular buy in my opinion (and I even did it with a 15% off coupon). John told me last night he wants to go back for our family Christmas Pictures.

New/Used Van

It is official we now have a mini van. We got to ride together to church on Sunday for the first time in 18 months. Since Eliza has been born we have not been able to fit in the same car at the same time, but that all changed this last weekend. I am SO EXCITED!

First Soccer Game

Vincent and Addison had their first Soccer Game this last weekend and it was a lot of fun! They are in a non competitive league where they do not keep score it is more for the learning of skills and good sportsmanship. However, their grandpa and dad kept score and our boys did wonderful! Their team did score more goals then the other with Vincent being the top scorer and Addison being the second! They had so much fun and Vincent was just beaming from ear to ear. Vincent is our awkward child and we have hoped to find something that he would enjoy and shine in, and this was it. He knew he had done well and as we walked to the car he told John, "Dad I was really good at soccer, can I do it again next week?" Complete change from sitting in the outfield during T-Ball since he was tired or telling us he did not want to go. We cannot wait for the next game.

First Football Game

We headed out to the first football game of the Granite Hills Season, and had a great time! My parents had come for the weekend and the Badders (who have also become good friends with my parents)joined us for dinner and then we headed to the game. We only made it til third quarter when the kids had, had enough but it was still a fun evening.

Butler's In Heaven???

I am not one for blog post's like this one, but this was too funny.

We went out to dinner as a family last Friday night. The resturant sits right on the corner of Hwy 190. As we were eating a lot of ambulances, police cars, and fire trucks started going by and the police put up flares and closed down a section of 190 so people where having to turn off. We looked up the road a little but could not see anything from the resturant. After we were done we headed out but the highway was still closed off and the kids (and me of course) we wondering what happened. When we looked in that direction and we saw a thick blanket of black smoke. We have had several fires in the field next to our house so we know the look and took it as a fire. Since 190 was closed we took the frontage road to head out and saw a really bad car accident. There was a car in the middle of the road upside down and on fire and two off onto the side one of them also on fire which caused the side of the road brush to be on fire. Addison right away wanted to know if someone had died or if someone had gotten hurt. We told him we did not know if someone had died but we were sure someone had gotten hurt as it was a pretty bad accident. He got very upset and told us he did not want to die he wanted to live with us forever. We explained that everyone dies, but since we were sealed as a family we would still live together forever. So then he asked about his toys and told us he wanted to live in our house with us forever. We then had to explain that we would not be living in our house here on earth but Heavenly Father had promised us that if we were sealed as a family and obeyed his commandments we could live together in heaven in a mansion he has prepared for us. Addison then asked, "What is a mansion?" Vincent very matter of factly announced at that point, "It is a very big house that has butlers." Addison next question of course, "What is a butler?" Vincent's response, "Someone that you can make do anything you want, like get you a drink of water, clean your room......." The list goes on for awhile. So I guess I do not have to worry about cleaning in heaven, I will have a BUTLER!
