Vincent's class along with one other 2nd grade class joined all 4 3rd grade classes for a Christmas Assembly. We got there about 15 minutes before it started due to my piano lessons (I knew I should have cancelled them), so, we were stuck towards the back of the cafeteria. Thus every picture I tried to take turned out dark with only the white lights they had up front visable. So, Nicholas made sure I had some fun pictures from inside the cafeteria.

The Angel Addison!
This year for the Ward Christmas Party Santa came for a visit like always. As we got in line for a turn to see Santa we figured Nicholas would tell us No when we got close to him. We do not believe in making them sit there and cry just for the picture purpose so when they say "No" for something like this. We leave it at NO. Anyway we got closer to the front and Nicholas started hanging on John's leg. We got a little closer and it was our families turn. Vincent jumped up there and then Addison and Nicholas made the realization that Santa was handing out cookies with a candy cane attached. To our surpsrise he jumped right up there once Addison got down. He even smiled for the camera and then jumped down with a big grin and said, "I got cookies from Santa and I didn't even cry." Eliza of course just sat there with her new favorite cheesy smile. It was a fun night and great fod. They served breakfast for dinner which I thought was fun and the kids loved it. We had pancakes, eggs, & ham.
Since John and I have been married we have always put up our Christmas Tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving, well, because of the flu it had to wait until Tuesday after Thanksgiving, but we got it up and have been enjoying it. Nicholas helped John get it together while Addison, Vincent, and I sorted the ornaments into piles of who they belong too. As with tradition also starting with the youngest every one puts up their "Baby's 1st Christmas" Ornament one at a time while I take pictures. For those who know my daughter well know that she loves her baby dolls and usually has one or two in tow with her. Her 1st ornament just happened to be a baby in a cradle and she kept rocking it saying "Oh baby." When we had the lights on and were ready to start decorating she went first and with her dads help went up to the tree to put on the ornament. Unfortunately she had no intention of parting with it or it going on the tree so when her dad got it from her hands and put it on the tree she fell to the floor and cried for her baby. Trauma was not what we were going for so we gave it back and she sat on the floor and cradled her baby the rest of the time the boys decorated the tree. When she finally put it down (for a cookie), John picked it up and put it high on the tree. So far she has not seen it, as we have had no more tears for it.
Last year for Christmas my parents got my kids Power Wheels with the understanding that they stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house for an activity to do there. Eliza rode in the cars even then but this trip to my parents house she was finally old enough to ask for them and vocalize her wants with them. Every time she heard the garage door open she would run out and get in the mustang and wait for someone to have pitty on her and take her for a ride around the block. She also learned there was a "Radio" button that plays music so she would push it and "BeeBop" her little head and body in the car. It was sure fun to watch.
I know it is well past Thanksgiving, but to my joy we all got sick over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Addison got the stomach flu first on Thanksgiving Evening, Eliza followed on Saturday, Nicholas on Sunday in the car on the car ride home (ARGHHHHHH!) Not fun especially with tons of holiday traffic, and a car accident that closed down a lane so we were being guided through with cops. No where to pull over and the kid was strapped in his car seat in the back of the van. Poor Guy! John and I in turn got it Monday and it was horrible! We both stayed in bed all day long on Monday and the kids found what they could to eat in the fridge and cupboards and watched TV and played video games all day long. But, alas, we still had a great time at my parents house for the holidays, here are a few pictures that were taken Wednesday, and then on Thursday.
