Trip To San Diego

So almost two whole months have gone by and I am so far behind on Blog Posts. My camera battery died on the first day of school and I didn't have another battery to replace it so the camera got put up on top of my book shelf (or so I thought) and when I got a new battery at the first of Sept and went to put it in my camera was not there. Well, to make a long story short while cleaning John's bookshelf for him yesterday I found it on top of his. Apparently I stuck it on top of his over a month ago and forgot. So now it is time to play catch up!

The first week of August John attended a conference in San Diego for his new position at work teaching AP US History. Since our 10th wedding aniversary was August 17th I went a long for the ride and we turned it into our Anniversary Trip Too. I spent the weeks prior to the trip cutting out quilts and took my sewing machine along with us and sewed my mornings away while John was in class. He was in class until 3:30 everyday and then the afternoons were free to do as we wished.

On Monday we went to Old Town

On Tuesday we walked around the outdoor mall had dinner at the food court and went to the movies to see Eclipse. I have to say I think that has been my favorite movie of the Twilight Saga so far.

On Wednesday we went out to a very nice steak and shrimp dinner and then walked around a book store that was saling discount books for under $5.00. John was in heaven. We were going to go to the San Diego Temple but never made it over there. As we were driving home we drove by it and discovered that it was closed for repair so then we didn't feel so bad for not making it over there.

On Thursday I picked John up from class and we went to Sea World. I had not been there since I was a little girl and John had never been there. It was sure a lot of fun.

On Friday I took John to his last day of class and went back to the motel and packed up and checked. I then went back to the campus after lunch and walked around campus with John. What a beautiful campus San Diego University is. We then headed home to our kids. That was the longest I had ever left them and was so ready to go see them again.
