Barney Schwartz Park and Zoo to You

Every year at the end of the year the kindergarten classes at the school of the woman that my mom does childcare for (Wow that was a mouthful) anyway they go to the park and a local home based zoo comes and does a demonstration. Zoo to you is privately owned and operated. They take in wild animals who are injured and cannot go back in the wild or wild animals that people have illegally taken in to their homes and because were in homes originally cannot go back in the wild. They take them in and teach conservation to kids. The kindergarten classes got to sit up front and we were off to the side, which is the way it should be it was for them, but the sun was right in our faces. The BRIGHT SUN, and the play structure behind us just begged too much to be played on so, we sat through part of it, and then played.

Picnic Lunch in Grandma's Front Room

With school still in session in Paso Robles my mom still had Sofia and Camden at her house during school hours so when lunch time hit realization hit we were not all going to fit around the table. I sheet on the floor and a movie on the TV made for a nice picnic lunch in the front room.

Camp San Luis

Today we took the kids down to Camp San Luis. They loved it. Addison is very much into military right now and has several camo articles of clothing and wears them often. Today was no exception. We took a tour of the museum, then walked around the base and had lunch at the mess hall. There is not a lot of pictures to show as the have very strict guidelines for pictures. The front entrance in no way can be shown and no military personal can be in any pictures. And well since it is an active base there are a lot of military personal walking around and the lunch hall was full of them so here are the pictures we did get.

Kaylee's Graduation

Kaylee came home from Utah to walk in her High School Graduation. They had an extra ticket into graduation so they invited Eliza and I to go to the graduation.

Honor Roll Assembly

Vincent received Honor Roll for having at least two E (Exceeding Standards) on two of the three main subject areas and no N's (Needs Improvement) on his report card. Way to go Vincent!

Kindergarten Graduation

Today Addison had his "Kindergarten Round Up" They did a western theme for graduation and it was a lot of fun. The kids did a great job singing songs, reciting poems from the year, and doing two dances. It was a bit long (1 1/2 hours) so would have been better minus two little ones who got bored, but was very happy I could make it.

It is pretty sad too when others know that your son is the class, well, shall we say the class girl picker upper. This is two of only several girl pictures that were taken this morning. What was funny about them is the girls parents came to me and asked if their daughter could have her picture taken with Addison that they have heard Addison's name several times this year and knew they were great friends. Glad to know my son is well known. :)

Father/Sons Ward Campout

Last Friday night the boys went with John to the ward Father/Sons Camp Out. Like always the boys had A TON of fun and brought home all the dirt and smell to prove their great time. After the got up there they had a BBQ and then went on hikes and explored around camp. They found a frog to which my son (Addison) foundly named "Butt Cheeks". Only at a church camp Addison! They wanted to bring it home but John told them that I would not approve so they played with it then passed it off to one of the other little boys who said he would take it home. Sorry Yvette if he did. That night they slept in cabins and my crew shared a cabin with Uncle Boyd, Dylan, & Austin. At 5 am dear Mr. Vincent decided to wake up and announce out loud that he needed to use the restroom. To which Addison awoke and said, "I dont, I peed in my bed last night." Ohhh Addison! John said Vincent was as loud as could be using the bathroom so when he came out Boyd said to him, "Hey Vincent can you tell Uncle Boyd what time it is?" Vincent told him no so he told him to go ask his dad. Vincent asked John who said it was 10 after 5. Vincent was told that Uncle Boyd doesn't get up that early. I guess Vincent and Addison TRIED but their cabin was up whether they wanted to be or not by 5:30am. I think Uncle Boyd will probably find another cabin to sleep in next year!
